Discarding?

Ok I feel I should know this however I don't. Scenario: I have Skirsdag Supplicant on the battlefield and Stromkirk Condemned (Don't look in to the combo, I picked two random cards with a discard ability). My question: Do I have to discard two cards to activate both abilities or does one discard trigger both? Thanks!!!

Yes, you must discard two cards to activate both. Just like how a dollar will not pay for two snacks from a vending machine, one card will not pay for two costs.

They are each separate abilities and therefore a card must be discarded for each.
