Deaths touch double strike vs regeneration?

Asked by PinkyWinkyBlinky 9 years ago

If my opponent attacks with a 2/2 deathtouch double strike like (Heir of the Wilds enabled by Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest, and I block with a 3/5 creature with regenerate, can I save my blocker via regeneration? Or does the second strike of double strike deathtouch him as well?

Yes, regenerating once will save your blocker.

When a creature regenerates it becomes tapped and is removed from combat. This causes the creature not to be dealt damage by the second double strike hit, as it is no longer blocking the Heir of the Wilds.
