Darksteel mutation and devotion

A ruling question came up at my local fnm tonight but were still not clear on the official ruling. If Darsteel mutation is cast on a creature when a god is on the field, does darksteel affect the cmc value of the monster for devotion of the god?

All other questions I have found have been darsteel mutation on a god, not about general devotion

Darksteel Mutation

Darksteel Mutation only changes the values which it specifically modifies. It does not modify the mana cost of the creature (so, if you enchant a creature, the 0/1 Insect will also have a mana cost of ). As such, the creature will still have the same influence on Devotion as it did pre-enchantment.
