Blight Mamba and Regeneration

If I attack with Blight Mamba and my opponent blocks with Elvish Mystic and I regenerate my Blight Mamba does the mystic die? I know that my Mamba is removed from combat because it would have been dealt lethal damage, but does the mystic take damage?

Damage would of already of been done, unless defending creature has first strike and attacking creature doesn't.
