Auras and Shroud

Asked by indieinside 4 months ago

I was told if I have Greater Auramancy on the battlefield that I wouldn't be able to cast auras to my creatures. Is this the case?

Shroud prevents anyone from targeting that permanent with spells or abilities.

If your creatures are also enchantments, they’ll have shroud and you won’t be able to cast auras on them.

If your creature has an aura on it, it’ll count as being an “enchanted creature” and so will have shroud, meaning you won’t be able to cast additional auras on it.

The scenario where you can target your creature with an aura is where it is not an enchantment, and has no existing auras on it.
