Trading?

TappedOut forum

I am interested in the trade feature. It seems like there are a hundred ways that could go wrong, so does it really work? if so, how? For example, I pulled an Archangel of Thune, and a Garruk, Caller of Beasts. I have no use for the planeswalker, and there is no store or person around that wants to give me what the Garruk is worth around here. So I just post up that I am willing to trade my Garruk plus an extra rare or two for an Archangel that another person doesn't care to use?

Please explain! Maybe you could even be my potential trade partner.

P.S. I am willing to upgrade my account if this trade thing is going to be worthwhile.

Trading on here is fantastic and had saved me hundreds of dollars. Basically, it's all based on 'vouches.' This is how you say someone is credible. On my binder, I have lots of vouches from completing trades so you can be quite sure I won't scam you. Conversely, if somebody has none it is common that they are asked to so first to avoid scanning. If both parties have none... Try to avoid that hahaha.

But in all seriousness, the TO community is so great that it's not a huge issue.

Try reading Epochalyptik's article on online trading for better detail.

Read this.

The site has a binder feature that facilitates trades between users, but we don't oversee or otherwise monitor trade interactions between users. Your agreement is entirely up to you and the other trader.

Alright so most likely, since I have no vouches, people will want me to trade around first before trading with them?

Simply shipping your end first should solve most discomforts, and you'll gain vouches until it's unnecessary.

It depends. Some users don't mind trading with someone who has no vouchers. Others prefer to trade only with vouched users.

Alright, so is there a way of sifting through the accounts so I can get to the ones with the most vouches, and simply send my card to them first?

Basically, sitting and digging through accounts to find someone compatible haha. It can be tedious but it's with it.

I don't think there's a way to sort users by number of vouches. You'll just have to look through the trade forum and see who the most active traders are.

I happen to have completed over 80 trades through this site alone, so if you need to do some gateway trades, I can probably help you out. My word tends to carry a lot of weight in the trade community here.

Epoc's word carries weight everywhere on this site. I can vouch for Jp3ngu1nb0y I have traded with him. It was as little nerve racking at first, but went well. Trading here cash be a great experience just keep the lines of communication open and clear through the trade.

Yeah, like Replayced said, Epoc's word carries weight everywhere on this site, so if you are looking for a reliable trade, for your first time it might be worth it to have Epochalyptik hook you up with a reliable person.

You might want to limit your trades with upgraded users only for a little while, as upgraded users are the only ones who can make trade vouches. (upgraded users have coloured names.)

I love trading, so if you post your trade binder as a deck, I am certainly willing to take a look and see if we can work something out.
