I'm Jay. I help KrazyCaley with running the articles and such, so if he's ever busy and you need something to be posted, edited, or what-have-you post it on my wall and I'll do my part to get it done. I'm almost constantly on here, so it shouldn't be a problem.
I am always always always willing to help. If you need help on a deck, trade, anything on here or Magic-related at all just post on my profile and I'll get back to you A$AP.
I almost always play White in my decks, and even more frequently black alongside it. White and Black encompass a lot of things I really like in Magic: Enchantments, Reanimator, Weenies, Discard-Based Tempo, Tokens, Permanent-Destruction, etc.
As far as decks, I generally play one of two things:
-A wack combo deck or otherwise just-barely-fringe-playable gimmick.
-A weenie-based aggro-control strategy (Hatebears, Dead Guy Ale, Death and Taxes, and so forth).
Cards I like (in no order):
Sigarda, Host of Herons
Bruna, Light of Alabaster
Benediction of Moons
The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
River of Tears
Oyobi, Who Split the Heavens
Angel of Flight Alabaster
Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
Angel of Despair
Entreat the Angels
Iona, Shield of Emeria
Divinity of Pride
My favorite artist is Howard Lyon followed by Terese Nielsen and Rebecca Guay. I also really like Chippy and Raymond Swanland. Lyon's art on Make a Wish is my all-time favorite, and I collect it. If we trade, feel welcome to throw one in for my collection! ;)
My prized card is my Foil Angel of Flight Alabaster , signed in silver pen by Howard Lyon. The foiling is amazing, and looks even better with the silver ink.
My favorite flavor text is from Wheel of Sun and Moon : "Every life ends, but life itself never does."
My favorite mechanic is Miracle (hence my love for Liliana Vess ), and I really hope they revisit it and make more actually playable Miracles.
I delete my old decks pretty frequently, so if you were looking for one and couldn't find it just ask
Currently I'm running as follows:
Standard: Totopos de Maiz
Modern: DGA all day (not up to date)
Legacy: Red Dead Redemption (proxied)
First person to correctly identify movie/music/videogame/culture references on my deck titles wins a point. Current standings:
|Playing since||2012 Core Set|
|Avg. deck rating||10.41|
|Favorite formats||Standard,Commander / EDH,Modern,Pauper|
|Good Card Suggestions||99|
|Venues||Big Bang Comics and Collectibles|
|Last activity||3 hours|
What should I do for standard? I like black green white and black white red
I'm just going to immortalize that one too.....
In my opinion, keep 1deck (or make and keep a new one), hold on to definite high long-term value stuff, and cash out. Maybe do occasional drafts and prereleases if nothing else catches your fancy, but really if it's not fun anymore why do it?
