Question on Formatting

TappedOut forum

Posted on May 28, 2015, 7:07 p.m. by Maringam

If I want to make the text size in a post or article (like my profile bio), how do I make the text size bigger/smaller, if an un-upgraded user can.

Thanks!

HTML. Use headers or font size attributes. Please don't abuse them.

I'm also unsure if basic users have access to these tags.

Basic users can use html just fine. I do it all the time for bolding and italics. I'm actually unsure of how one would stop some subsection of users from using HTML tags it seems like a pain.

Also I want to reiterate the point about using differing font sizes sparingly. It is fine in a long form post such as an original post that needs them for organization or in a deck description. But normal comments look weird with anything that is out of proportion since they are shorter and don't need to be organized with headers and such. Also if you ever decide to treat tappedout like twitter and use a pound sign before a phrase be prepared to look like a twit or twat or whatever the users of twitter are called. (yes I know the common name for a pound sign is "hashtag" but I'm old and curmudgeonly so "pound sign" or "number sign" it is for me)
