With the addition of that favorites tab on the main page is it possible to remake the casual format option?

I believe what he's getting at is the possible future addition of a "casual" option in the drop-down menu for a deck's format selection. Rather than mark a deck as Modern or Legacy when it will never be played in a formal Modern/Legacy setting, users could label a deck as casual.

This would be more helpful because it's a way of conveying to others that the deck is geared toward a different atmosphere and playstyle and isn't necessarily meant to take on the powerful netdecks of the formats it's technically legal in. It also saves the hassle of trying to properly identify a deck with a format that its owner doesn't really want to play it in.

Does Casual have any restrictions?

Casual, is a rule-less environment where the only restrictions are those your friends impose on you. Even the Un-Sets are allowed if your friends are fine with it.

I also agree with Epochalyptik about the helpfulness in its labeling and discerning what a poster might want out of their deck.

Yes casual, the kitchen table format, where even the best decks realize that many bad decks against them is more firepower then itself, where politics and bribery of snacks are as important as hand size and field presence. I actually remember many months back being able to label my decks under this format on this site and I've been meaning to ask why it was removed as I thought it was a good way to label that helped avoid advice on making a deck competitive. Also I believe casual is the format most Johnny style decks are built for.
