Wikipedia says it's release date is Nov 15: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Magic:_The_Gathering_sets

So, probably soon.

They might give us a few peeks this weekend with the pro tour. They usually give some sort of a heads up about upcoming projects at most PT's

Actually it says the 13th. Sorry I had to.

I was lazy and didn't write Nov 2015. Thank you, though.

They will prob start last week of month. There isn't many new cards. And if I remember correctly, it was week before release when they mention most of the reprints. I think some of the new commander planeswalkers were the first to be revealed. But I agree they may reveal some this weekend.

They could do it one month prior to the release, so as early as midnight tonight.

There is already a thread to discuss this subject, but I say that the previews shall begin at either the end of October or the beginning of November, since the set shall be released in the middle of November.

It looks interesting. I was surprised that the player gets the experience counters, not the creature. Kind of nice actually. If your general gets killed, you don't lose the counters.

I like that creature very much; I am not certain if I shall ever use it in any of my decks, but it still is very nice. Also, I do believe that this is the first naturally legendary creature ever to have double strike (Kenzo the Hardhearted in Kamigawa was a normal creature who could become legendary); why did WotC wait so long for that?

I like how the experience counters work, so I wonder if they shall provide other abilities beyond increasing the power and toughness of a creature? And will only the generals be able to benefit from experience counters, or shall other creature benefit from them, as well?

Can anyone tell from that artwork if Kalemne is male or female? He/she looks male, but "Kalemne" sounds more feminine than masculine (i.e., the masculine equivalent thereof would be "Kalemnos," "Kalemnus," or "Kalemnas").

Aheradrim says... #17

@DemonI cannot tell anything based on the artwork, but I am Greek and I can confirm that "Kalemne" is a female ancient greek name.

Aheradrim: so, it is an actual name, and not one that WotC coined? Does it have an approximate meaning in English?

I notice that only a single legendary creature is shown in that image, so shall this set follow the pattern of the first three sets in having two new generals and one reprint general per deck, I hope?

IIRC, Maro wrote his article last week, and he works 3 weeks in advance. So maybe spoilers next week?

@DemonIn the greek island of Karpathos there is a mountainous area called Kalemne (), which roughly translates in English as the woman the sings beautiful hymns.
