Who the Hell Plays 'Getting Serious'

For you MTGO players you know what I mean. Do you like 'Just For Fun' que? Or are you more competitive in the 'Tournament Practice'? Probably one or the other as your testing and/or casually trying builds.

But out of some 8 billion people in the world about 3 people play Getting Serious. Which, begs the question, "what the hell is getting serious, anyways?"

Nobody knows. Even Wizards admitted it's a gimmick (citation needed).

Many MTGO players are awaiting an official apology. Still nothing. Bummer really. I gotta deck that's just itching to 'get serious'. But not serious enough to actually be ready for a tournament, lol.

The get serious has always been underplayed. So much that people that organise outside tournaments, use it to play their matches!

I'd like to use the Getting Serious room to practice my Tier 2 Modern decks, but it's a ghost town.

Good place to host private tournaments I guess.

In reality I think it's mean to be a room for playing strong decks that you're not experienced with, rather than playing in the super scary ! Tournament room. But yes, nobody plays there.

Ideally MTGO would have a system for evaluating deck strength, or some kind of casual matchmaking that let you choose how competitive you were feeling. I often build strongish decks and feel like it's unfair playing them in the 'Just for Fun' room, but really, I'm not a competitive player so that's the only place to play them.

Oh well, we can dream!

Honestly, here's what the categories really are:

Just Starting Out: I installed MTGO for the first time literally today.

Just For Fun: I'm still not sure how to use this program because it's poorly designed.

Getting Serious: Haha, nobody plays here.

Tournament Practice: I want to dick around with some jank or I'm out of tickets.

I highly advise that if you are any good at MtG and know how to use MTGO you just go right to Tournament Practice. Most of the players there aren't very good, and neither are their decks.
