SUPERHERO THEMED DECKS!

Modern Deck Help forum

Hello all! I'm just a regular old magic brewer just like everyone else. After making my first competitive Modern deck in paper, I want to try to create decks themed after my favorite comic book heroes. Any help is appreciated. I was hoping to start with one of my all time favorite heroes, Spider-Man, but we can always focus on different heroes. Thank you all in advance for your input and help!

That is a possibility, but I feel as if that'd be too predictable. Spiders could definitely be included, but what about unblockable stuffs, then certain equipment to pump said unblockables?

You could so Golgari spiders so you can get Ishkanah, Grafwidow. Are you wanting to focus on DC or Marvel more first? Or independent publishers?

Batman would be Martial Arts/Vampires (Jeskai Black?)

Iron Man would probably be some form of Affinity

They have some mild Norse themes in older sets for a Thor-esque deck

Anthousa, Setessan Hero is basically Wonder Woman.

I'd like to focus more on DC, but Spider-Man is definitely one I really want to do from Marvel, along with Iron Man. But I'm definitely liking your suggestions Wizno!

Maybe a Blue-Red coin flipping deck for two-face? And a Rakdos chaos deck for the Joker.

Plant/fungus tribal for Poison Ivy?

Bird tribal for Penguin or Hawkman/Hawkgirl?

Cold-themed cards for any number of Ice heroes/villains

Fire-themed cards for any number of Fire heroes/villains

Transmute-centric deck for Firestorm

Scarecrow tribal for Scarecrow?

Cat tribal for Catwoman?
