Anyone know how to edit the condition of your cards on Pucatrade?

You can't, sadly....

You can't as of now, but they are working on a feature that will allow this.

I was going to put this here Epochalyptik but since it didn't directly concern buying and selling I figured this would be the wrong forum. Sorry about that.

Seems like the ability to edit the condition of your cards should have been a built-in feature from the beginning.

Discussion about stores and general trade facilitators (including online seller portals) is included in Economics.

You can check with the receiver if they're willing to accept them. You can also mark that you accept them on your profile.

PucaTrade literally just launched an IndieGoGo campaign to raise money for new development features; card condition is one of them. The problem, and the reason it wasn't a feature from the beginning, is that condition other than Mint is subjective. Even with their current system and the NM condition, people disagree on what NM/M means. Adding in conditions other than NM/M increases the range of possible reported cases exponentially. Here's a link to their campaign if you're interested:PT IGG Campaign

Its fairly easy - provide pictures demonstrating what each condition means.

ChiefBell If you're referring to my post, no it isn't fairly easy from a logistics standpoint. I agree, pictures and defined expectations would be the starting point. The fact still remains, though, that condition is subjective. When people disagree they're going to create cases, and cases require mediation on PT's side. They probably didn't (or still don't) have the infrastructure to support a high volume of mediation cases, and thus they kept it binary: the card is either perfect (NM/M), or it isn't.

And I'm just saying enough websites and trading sites exist that can cope for it, it's really no excuse. There are decent, solid ways around it. Everything you're saying is correct - it IS subjective, but equally it's not as big of a problem as you might expect.

Sure, I understand your point of view as a user. I'm not making any excuses for their decisions, but I am trying to provide context as a developer. For example, the PT developers work part-time, and quite possibly don't take a salary. One could argue that's a fine reason to limit the functionality of a feature. Especially since the site is free to use.

You may be right in that it could be a non-issue. As a fledgling service, though, it's an intelligent move (in my opinion) to minimize risk of failure, which is what the card condition limit is.

If you create a csv to upload your haves, the format includes a column for condition. I noticed that if you put anything other than NM in there your cards upload fine, are then are added to your have list but the available circle is crossed out. Whether or not pucatrade will automatically un-check these boxes for you when they upgrade their grading options is anybody's guess. I hope so.
