Something I’ve come to notice recently since I started making an Atraxa deck is that almost all planeswalkers have two colored mana in their casting costs. Even the three mana walkers (and the two mana one we don’t talk about) almost across the board require two colored mana to cast. Of course, the uncommon walkers from War of the Spark broke this model, but even considering that, fewer than 10% of walkers only have one colored mana in their mana cost. Ajani Steadfast is the only Ajani to have only one in his cost, for example.

Why do you think that is?
