Specific Deck box question

I would like to find a deck box that suits a very particular set of criteria, and have not had any luck thus far. So I’m turning to the fine community on this site in hopes someone could point me in the right direction.

I’m looking for a deck box that fits exactly 75 single sleeved cards; no more no less. (Not sure it makes a difference but I sleeve my cards with Dragon Shield sleeves). I’d like the fit to be snug enough that they don’t have much wiggle room, but obviously not so snug that the cards are crammed in and can barely fit. It needs to be as sleek, streamlined and minimalist as possible in form, and acrylic or metal in construction.

The only deck boxes I’ve come across thus far are either large, bulky, gaudy monstrosities or else flimsy, cheap and low quality cardboard deck boxes that are too small (i.e. they barely fit 60 non-sleeved cards). Both these styles are unacceptable for my needs. For reference, any deck box made with vinyl or that is ‘stitched’ is unacceptable.

Dragon Shield Nest, Ultra Pro Satin Tower, Ultimate Guard Xenoskin, Ultra Pro Alcove Flipbox or any similarly constructed deck boxes are all completely unsuitable.

The closest thing I’ve found to what I’m looking for would be the Ultimate Guard Boulder line of deckboxes, but I can’t seem to find one that holds exactly 75 cards (main deck and sideboard). As is they’re too big and bulky.

Hypothetically speaking, if I could describe the perfect deck box for my needs it would be this: an acrylic or stainless steel version of the cardboard deck boxes the Welcome Decks come in, but fitting 75 single sleeved cards. That’s as sleek and minimalist as it gets while offering solid protection.

I’ve done quite a bit of scouting online and haven’t come across anything suitable yet, so I fear what I’m looking for doesn’t exist. But in the off chance it does, I would be most appreciative if someone could direct me to a website. Thank you for your time.

You said you tried boulder but did you try this? https://ultimateguard.com/en/boulder/boulder-60-deck-case

It's rated for 60 double sleeved or 80 single sleeved, so it should meet your needs.

80 cards is pretty much a perfect fit accounting for difference in sleeve thickness between brands.

@JRaynor thanks for the heads up. No I hadn’t come across this particular model. It’s cheap enough that I’ll give it a try; if it turns out it isn’t quite what I’m looking for I could always give it away to some kid at my LGS. I appreciate the time you took to reply to my post, thank you.

That is a pretty specific and unusual requirement. If JRaynor's suggestion doesn't work, I doubt anything will. If nothing else, find a box that you really like, but is too big, and put a spacer in. Some cardboard, a foam block, a bunch of tokens, something.

@EleshNornsFs that’s true, and a valid suggestion. It’s just that I’m trying to find as minimalist and sleek a deck box as possible so I’d rather not custom-rig one that’s already too bulky for my tastes. I appreciate the input though.

Aaron Cain/MTG Custom Deck Boxes - Can make you whatever specifications you want

Wrymwood - Similar to above, better quality (so I've heard), more expensive

You can customize them as you wish with felt, request he make it a specific size, etc.... Highly recomend Aaron Cain

You can perhaps try ETSY for custom deck boxes as well that might suit your needs on a lighter budget but they won't get to the level of specification that Aaron Cain does unless they actually know what they're doing. Hope it helps!

@Profet93 thanks for the idea. It’s a step toward what I’m looking for, but I was looking for something metal ideally. Or at least some high density, impact resistant polymer. I do appreciate the comment though, thanks.

I also prefer a deck box like you are describing.... best I have found and use myself is the ultimate guard boulders 80.

When double sleeping with KMC/Dragon shields I find it to be a VERY SNUG fit for 75 cards honestly... sure you can jam in an emblem token in there but its still very condensed and cards dont slip/flop around.

@Icbrgr maybe the Boulder 80 will suffice after all then. I’ll see when it gets here. I wish I had machine shop type skills; I’d love to custom design and fabricate the image I have in my mind. Instead of a chunky, gaudy, cheap and tacky looking fisher-price styled deck box, I’d arrive at FNM and set a sleek, stainless steel elegant case of cards on the table mere millimeters larger than a 60 card deck + sideboard. Curse these hands; they don’t create...they only destroy!

@JordanKingkkkk4? I’m not sure I follow what you mean here. I’m looking for a deck box, not cards.
