I purchased a collection that included a foil Japanese Sylvan Library , I've scoured the web but can't find an accurate value. In fact I only stumbled across a single listing for the card with a price tag of 199.00 which seems way out there. I spoke with my lgs owner who told me the only way to get an accurate value would be to speak with someone who deals specifically with foreign cards (I live in the continental United States). So now I turn to you the people, players, collectors and salers of Tappedout in an attempt to get a general value for the card... Help please...

https://www.hareruyamtg.com/en/products/search?sort=&order=&cardId=&product=sylvan+library&category=&cardset=&colorsType=0&cardtypesType=0&format=&illustrator=&foilFlg%5B%5D=1&stock=0

so this is a popular mtg shop in japan they have a foil japanese one listed for 10,800 yen at sp condition which is about 98$ given exchange rates, so i would use that as a good starting point, do you have pictures/scans of the card or at least a good idea of what condtion its in?

The edition matters a lot. Is it a promo of some sort, EMA, or something else? That affects the worth heavily. But in general if youre looking to sell the card, foreign cards usually cost 10-20% less than their english counterparts when selling in english countries. I frequently buy foreign cards for this reason as long as I know what they do.

It's probable that you can get more for it out of an American audience as the card is necessary in almost every green EDH deck and Japan isn't into non-competitive formats so its price over there is basically solely coming from Legacy play. I don't believe there is a Japanese foil printing other than EMA, I frankly think $200 is a reasonable starting spot.

fluffybunnypants English EMA foils are going for $70-$80. A non-English version will simply never sell for $200 if you ask me. Almost every foreign card goes for less than the English card when selling to an Eglish speaking player base.

Qolorful I can't believe I left out something as important as the set, it's Eternal Masters. Japanese does tend to be less that's why the 199.00 listing surprised me and I figured it couldn't possibly be accurate.
