Tempo u/b that needs help from older sets

Took an old deck I used Back in Therros standard and have tried to convert it to a casual format deck. The original idea was to pile a bunch of bad heroic/inspired cards into a deck and win anyway due to getting in for small amounts of damage and keep the board clear.

Converting to casual has proven more difficult due to the fact I'm just not as familiar with the cards before Innastrad,the budget constraints (Delver of Secrets  Flip would be great if it were cheap), and trying to keep to the idea of targeting my own guys with spells instead of just their creatures.

Any advice on some hidden gems in the days of yore would be greatly appreciated.
