Armed/Dangerous or Boros Charm

Deck Help forum

Alright, so I've talked about it before, heck I think just last night. Anyways, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to take out, atleast some, of my Boros Charm for Armed/Dangerous ((Sorry, don't know how to code that one)) for my boros deck. My reasoning is it costs 1R compared to RW of Boros Charm Making it a bit easier for me to pull out for it's intended purpose, plus it also adds a +1/+1 counter to said creature. Anyone have any input on which one i should use? Or perhaps 2 of each ((Currently running 4 Boros Charm ))

((I will never remember that the code in deck linking cannot be caps, Damn me and my obsession with capping the start of every sentence))

Split cards can linked simply by putting a / between the 2 names.

[ [Armed / Dangerous] ] = Armed / Dangerous

Honestly, Boros Charm is far more versatile than Armed / Dangerous . Even though your deck is running a blitz aggro style that would benefit from the temporary +1/+1, Boros Charm gives you the option of forcing in more raw damage, either with its burn effect or its anthem double strike. Boros Charm really shines in the control matchup as well, when you can save your creatures from a turn 4 Supreme Verdict that might make or break the game.

CrazyLittleGuy Yea, as much as i agree with you, i also don't want to let them see a turn 3, none the less 4. Preferring to end it on my 3rd turn, which is possible with this deck. The less turns i let them counter, the better i'm off. And honestly, i think you're right, as even without the +1/+1, the double strike from the charm is normally enough.

Plus, thank you Rayenous for pointing out how to do Armed / Dangerous

My opinion is that the versatility of Boros Charm far outweighs the +1/+1 of Armed / Dangerous .

You mentioned a +1/+1 counter... this is not true, the +1/+1 only lasts for the turn, so (with the double strike) it will only deal an additional 2 damage once.

I don't feel this is nearly as powerful as the option to make your permanents indestructible, or deal 4 direct damage to an opponent for the win.

Rayenous Yea, to be honest, i noticed that bit just as i posted it, but i can't go back and edit, so the error was left there.

Boros Charm is absolutely crucial for any aggro deck running R/W. If your opponent gets off a verdict, that's probably game. The charm is also great for finishing off a game with 4 damage to the face. Armed / Dangerous really only shines in G/R where you can use both halves, and even then its seldom used.

Yea, i'm probably gonna keep with Boros Charm ,but to be honest, i've lost the game anyways if it gets to the point where Verdict becomes an issue, unless blue/White suddenly starts mana ramping on me.
