Edhrec.com is a good site for building them I think. I don't really play EDH though so I don't know if its suggestions are that good.

Personally I use the backbone decks that M a g i c a l H a c k e r makes for a foundation. Basically, they're just "Just add water" builds, and by water, I mean staple effects, which he has lists of on his profile.

I find that this is the best site for EDH discussion.

TappedOut. this is literally the only site I use for my EDH stuff.

To assist with deckbuilding edhrec is a great website. Everyone who plays EDH should know about this website.

lightpulsar9 I've put six of my EDH decks into EDHrec. Not a single one came up with suggestions that would have helped the deck run the way I intended it to be built. I'm not sold on that site at all.

The site suggests cards that are the most popular in general for the commander. If you built your deck different from how it is generally built then yeah, you won't get very many helpful suggestions. Like if you were to make a Mayael the Anima deck based on a control type strategy with very little big creatures then you'd be disappointed. The website is just for general suggestions that usually synergize or support your commander.

lightpulsar9: It doesn't only look at the Commander though. It looks at all of the cards in the deck and finds cards they are likely paired with.

canterlotguardian: It has worked well for me. Of the four decks I inputted, only one came back with mostly nonsensical suggestions, and that deck's theme is very obscure. I guess it fails on obscure/subtle themes.

Commander Theory is my go-to resource for all things EDH. They have a very systematic approach to deck construction and card evaluation that I find extremely helpful and informative.

When building a new deck, I might read a primer on MTGSalvation, but I pretty much solely use TappedOut.

EDHrec is good for general deck building, nothing fancy or too specific. It's not really a resource in the way you might be looking for, but the Command Zone podcast from Rocket Jump is interesting and pretty entertaining.

I also approve of Commander Theory. I won a deck box in one of their contests. :-)

I use T/O and Tumblr. I also follow the Command Tower and Dear Azami columns on SCG and Dailymtg.com
