Infinite combo or am I an idiot?

Gift of Immortality + Brindle Boar read about it somewhere else and couldn't get a straight answer.

It's not infinite because it only comes back once a turn, IF the creature is still on the battlefield and the enchantment is still in the graveyard.

This should probably be asked in MTG Q&A.

Well you are gaining a lot of life if they can't stop it. It really isn't an infinte combo more of a neat interaction. The only reason I say that is because it happens over numerous turns but every turn you may gain 4 life. You sac him at an end step to gain 4 life, then the enchantment comes back at the next end step and you can do it again

You should ask technical rules questions like this in the Q+A page in the future please.

It's not an infinite combo directly. The Gift of Immortality won't come back to the Boar until the beginning of the next end step. If you sacrifice the Boar before the Gift becomes attached again, the Boar will just stay in the graveyard. The Gift of Immortality will try to come back when at the end step but won't find the Boar on the battlefield and do nothing instead. Even if you did somehow get the same Brindle Boar card back onto the battlefield, it's considered a different object than the one Gift of Immortality brought back, and it won't attach to anything.

Short answer: no.

Gift of Immortality can only come back once per turn, so while you can keep gaining 4 life every turn if they can't stop it, it is not infinite since you can only do it once a turn.
