why do you like missing land drops so much

lol I don't. The first thing you should tutor for is a draw effect. I wish there was an extra land play card outside of green as most games I discard lands.

Personally, I find large X spells very unsatisfying. I've taken them out of my EDH decks. I guess, Torment is pretty spot on, flavor wise.

Chuubii late reply because initially, I did not agree with your comment. However, after playtesting it for a while I never enjoyed seeing those cards in my hand. Blue Sun was a coin toss but I've been drawing enough without it so I got rid of non-wincon X spells.

Skillville I guess I wrote that message incorrectly. I actually meant that I don't use "X spell" win conditions (like Exsanguinate ), because for me personally it doesn't feel satisfying to win with a single card (my meta is pretty casual, so often the X is 10+ even without crazy ramping).

For a while lots of our games felt like they ended because someone finally drew their "X spell."

It's no different than someone drawing into their 2-3 card infinite combo piece.

Graveborn Muse I'm not a fan either, if they are in a deck it's because it fits but my goal of playing is not to tutor or draw into it quickly (it's just there in case games go on too long).

I’m Bolas we trust. This is a way different take on the Bolas tribal deck I made some time ago, and I like it!

IMO it’s missing Nicol Bolas, Chandra’s Ignition, and Cruel Ultimatium. Also maybe Finale of Promise.

Chandra Ignition on OG Bolas = wrecked opponents and boards.

Finale + Cruel Ultimatum = also wrecked opponents. Especially if you can copy it. I once stacked 6 cruel ultimatum and there was much rejoicing from the hordes.

Also Disciple of Bolas and Rush of Knowledge in a deck with Hugh CMC permanents.

I also ran OG Bolas as the general so there is that.

Is the elderspell dragon god wincon inconsistent with only 3 planeswalkers in the deck? Dont you need to kill one of your own bolas planeswalkers to get the counters on dragon god?

Hercules23 With walker commanders and annoying walkers like Narset, Oko, etc you should have other options. Don't forget about your commander as the 4th walker and spark double as the 5th. Don't focus on getting it off but if the card come to you it happens pretty often. Might stick in a Whir of Invention since the main win con is artifacts.
