Exiled Symmetry vs Eldrazi Tron —Oct. 16, 2019

My wife & I have been testing the deck extensively using her Eldrazi Tron list. The results ended up a 50/50 split in 12 games. If Exiled Symmetry was able to keep ETron from going off by turn 3-4 the odds of Exiled winning became better & better. The games Exiled Symmetry lost were the games where I was unable to counter the first spell my wife cast. Exiled Symmetry was able to stop any & all attempts from Karn, The Great Creator stopping the dreaded Lattice Lock all & all leaving Karn as a less than desirable draw. The fun of Exiled Symmetry was all of the bluffs it allows you to use thanks to Scheming Symmetry. My wife said that everytime I cast Scheming Symmetry she hated it since she never knew if she was able to draw the card or not lol. We intend on playing this deck against a few of our other decks that include a mono green Emrakul combo deck, UB Control, Jeskai Stoneblade, Burn, Lantern Control, & Combo Elves. I will leave update on those once we get through them. I also intend on covering the match up more in depth in the other tests & in the FNMs of the future. Thank you all again for the views & you reading through it all I really appreciate the insight.

Hi, cool deck here. I would suggest including more island fetches to increase the consistency of getting your mystic sanctuaries, especially if you're only running 2. I would decrease the forest and swamp count by 1 to increase the watery grave and breeding pool count. I think growth spiral doesn't really serve its purpose in this deck and would cut it to increase your surgical to a playset. I would also increase into the story to 2 copies. Hope that helps!

Yes, very helpful thank you! I had 7 cards split between surgical & extirpate, but I always found it lacking running into too many especially since the graveyard meta is gone. I do agree with the lands though I just wanted enough snow permanents to make sure that dead of Winter would kill everything on the board, but with ice-fang & astrolabes it should be alright. Thanks again Enral! I really appreciate it & I will post my decks successes & failures here too.
