sylvannos on Vanguard Oversized Price Spike
1 year ago
I own a few Vanguard cards from back in the day when they came with issues of Duelist Magazine. A few years ago (2016ish?), I saw a bunch more Vanguard cards in the case at my shop. I picked up most of them for like $1~$5 each.
Today, I was randomly browsing MtG Stocks and saw this:
Vanguard Prices
Several of them are going for over $100. Most are in the $10~$20 range. What the hell? Apparently there was a huge price spike in 2021? Did I miss something? Was there a huge buyout that slipped by? Did the format become popular all of a sudden? Even Urza Character was $3 for YEARS and he's all of a sudden going for $60+?
