I have played casually since Revised (3rd) and The Dark... competitvely during the first 'Ice Age' and irregularly since. But speed tournament decks are not my thing. I would rather build bizzare fun combo decks that turn the rules in on themselves (Draw and Dispair or The Lands Will Kill You); or theme decks (see some of the challenge decks listed here...like Torchwood, or Terrible Twos, or even 4krazy_C's...) My erratic 'day jobs' and RL schedules mean that I rarely get a chance to even hit the FNM games, much less sanctioned tournaments. But, both my boys play, and we welcome others who see us playing out and about to join the games. So, more often than not I play 'pickup' games at coffee shops and diners.

I'm Back! Life with a single better job, much more stable schedule, and a strong penchant for Casual Commander has brought me back. I am now usually at one of the 2 local game shops for commander night each week, some weeks both (Tues at one, Thurs at the other...) and am known for Jank Use of old cards never meant for new mechanics...

I may not win often, but then I'm not that competitive (and don't have fun with CEDH decks... unless I am bringing chaos to try to disrupt them.)
