Hello, and welcome!

I'm long time player, with a fondness for casual and non-competitive play, mostly Commander/EDH, Pioneer, Modern, and kitchen table magic. Occasionally I play Duel Commander (French).

I first became acquainted with Magic: The Gathering sometime around the years 1994-95 when the 4th Edition was fresh. I collected cards from Legends, the Dark, Fallen Empires, Ice Age, Chronicles, Alliances, Mirage, Visions ... until around the Tempest block in 1997-98. Then my life priorities changed and I sold some of my nice collections for money that would make you laugh today. For example, I had complete Alliances set in mint condition in a binder. Oh my god, I wish I kept at least the Force of Will! And my vintage sliver deck with Sliver Queen from that time - I even don't remember where that ended... Well, I had no idea that these pieces of paper will one day be worth much more... I gave the rest of my cards to my younger brother and then I forgot about MtG for many years.

I took a long, 20 year hiatus until 2018 when my brother reignited my interest in Magic by bringing me back the remains of my old collection in the binder, that he discovered in a forgotten closet in our old house, and a box of heavily played remains of my old decks, mostly commons. Of course, all the valuable cards that I once had – and their prices went up since - were a long time gone...

Anyway, in 2018 I also started playing MTG Arena and began discovering new cards from new sets, and from all the older sets that I missed in all those years. Since then I’ve found my passion for playing and deck building again. I taught my girlfriend how to play and started to build various decks.

I lean toward the Green/White/Blue parts of the MtG color wheel. But I don't like heavy control or annoying strategies such as stax, mill, and discard. I still remember the old-school vanilla Magic where most creatures didn't have any abilities and Shivan Dragon was the OP bomb on the table.

I really like making theme decks or tribal decks with some flavor and mainly not too intense with annoying control and heavy on removals. My girlfriend does not enjoy playing against such salty decks, and who does anyway? We play for fun, casual kitchen table with friends. Most of my decks are budget friendly, with the exception of a few cards mostly in Commander decks.

We live in Prague and so my favorite decks I built are the special set of 9 dual-color decks with the theme of Guilds of Ravnica (including lands) that was inspired by Prague's genius loci. I have these decks in a portable suitcase, it contains one deck for every Ravnica Guild except for Dimir, because we don't like its play style.

Hope you enjoy decks I've created and please don't hesitate to comment and give advice on any of them! All upvotes are much appreciated as well.

Thanks!
