I started collecting in 1994, when Revised was the standard, though older sets were still available. I kept collecting and playing up until about 1999, but have recently found a friend who also likes to play -- and who picked it up around 1999, making for some interesting old/new match-ups. I recently found the Old School Magic format, and have tried building a few decks to play in the format (with proxies from Revised, Chronicles, and a little 4th Edition).
