thank you for the comment and question msmtggtm!

the first few times i played this at the kitchen table, i had a blast, and everyone was laughing! switching around everybody's permanents was novel and fun.

you may find yourself winning from last place quite often, as you steal your opponents strongest permanents and win.

your friends will start to wise up, and get tired of having their permanents stolen.

because Inniaz, the Gale Force costs , if he is removed even one time you will lose a lot of mileage. and if you ever have less than three or four flying bodies, inniaz doesn't do much. you can easily find yourself with 0 good permanents to donate, and so are forced to donate something decent ends up killing you unintentionally (most djinns are big beatsticks with evasion).

i love this deck and do continue to play it once in awhile. but a novelty deck is just that: novel. you may find the charm wears off rather quick.

i personally like to call this deck a Love Letter to Magic the Gathering. this is everything i want to do when i sit down at the kitchen table: show off my unique combination of cards, affect the game in a meaningful, funny way, and have fun interacting with those you care about (through a cardboard medium!)!

if you are looking to build this deck yourself, i may suggest ditching the strict djinn requirement that i have enacted on myself, and add some more cheap-to-cast fliers. this way you can more likely have a foot in the race before turn 4 (most djinn costs or more!)! i would also remove the cards that you have in the deck with the intention to be donated, like Illusions of Grandeur. i HAVE successfully donated this card to opponents multiple times. i have successfully donated this card AND THEN GIVE A COPY TO EVERYONE ELSE using Fractured Identity. this is not as funny as it sounds. it is likely you will find yourself feeling robbed of mana, which is exactly how i felt at the end of that game.

i hope this short review was helpful. i truly do love Horrible Djinn Tribal, and i hope this deck inspires you to make your own Love Letter! :)
