I started MTG with M13, fell in love with the game, and haven't stopped since. Magic is honestly the most epic game in history I have ever played. Ever. Period. End of story. It is that dynamic and entertaining, and never loses my interest. The literal most fun ever.

The creature type to really captivate me with the game was hydra. I LOVE HYDRAS, they are SSSOOOOOOOOO cool! And Wurms and Angels and Dragons and Zombies and Unicorns, but that's to be expected. Hydras, though, are the essence of awesome. The first MTG card I ever bought was the M13 Duels of the Planeswalkers promo version of Primordial Hydra. The LITERAL fuzziest ball of death I had ever seen. And thus, began my addiction to Magic.

I'm not too competitive. I actually like losing if my opponent pulls off some ridiculous combo that took them a lot of work to set up. I like watching the interactions between cards and witnessing cool combos and synergies come to life in a game.

I have a few competitive decks, but they are "fair" decks for sure. I like the more casual formats, where I can take my time and actually "play" with the cards I buy. I like to see most of my deck played out before the game is over, because that means I put most of my deck to work to win a game. The longer games allow me to tie the cards in my decks together, making a story in my head every time I play that deck. The game is only half the fun. The imaginative scenarios inspired by the decks I play are the other half, and therein lies the reason for my love for Magic, The Gathering.
