Deckling -

I started playing waaay back when Tempest was released. I was in high school at the time and played casually with family & friends.

Then Sixth Edition came out and I quit. Partly because I didn't want to relearn the game, but also because my friends and I were all graduating and had to change focus to things like paying bills and such.

More than a decade later I decided I wanted to get back into Magic. I went out and bought a booster box of Khans (just happened to be the day it came out) and am regularly playing Standard at local shops.

Since then I've built most of a Modern 8-Rack deck to play casually. I've tried drafting but didn't much care for it, but recently discovered through the FRF prerelease that Sealed is a lot of fun. Unfortunately prereleases are going to be the only times I can participate in that format.

Though I'm definitely having fun in the new Magic landscape, I truly miss the days of Necro, RecSur, and efficient noncreature spells.
