Friend:"My friends and I used to play magic back in the day"

Friend:"You don't know what Magic is?"

Me:"Nope... besides playing tricks on someone's mind..."

Friend:"OK... You have to try this game... It's fun, you'll see"

That conversation took place a long time ago. At the time, I was introduced to Magic, made 1 or 2 decks, played a little bit and then stopped. A few years later, I began playing again from time to time. But it's only since 2012 (or maybe 2011) that I have been playing more regularly and working on my deck building skills.
