Magic History

I have been around magic for a long time, but only started playing a lot during odyssey (seems like a long time now). So I am sadly not one of the Alphabet Veterans but I have my fair share of knowledge. I was a Judge for my local store for a long time before it closed down in 2004. Galaxy Comics was my original stomping ground, but frequented a place called The Dueling Grounds before it buried itself as well. So needless to say I missed some time between Darksteel and the Alara block before a new place popped up in the area and I started playing again and even signed into the business to make sure it stuck around. (which I then stepped out of for various reasons)

Play Style

My modes shifted from competitive to Johnny/Casual.

I'd rather build off the wall themed decks (that are still good) than Superfriends 4.5.0.2.3 release V. Or Jund.0.. Net Decking just isn't my thing but seems to be the popular formatting.

Favorite Magic Card

I'm torn here, I'd have to say - Meddling mage - no better way to just say NO. However, Bloodfire Dwarf has always been a favorite (art and quote).

Favorite Colors

I love to play White and Blue with Red being a close third. So any combination of those colors I enjoy.

The Name

Why M457ERSP00K - well it's a mix between a gamer tag and my pen name. I go normally by Spook, but people sometimes shun its use.. I'd wish they'd get over it's derogatory meaning as its not intended here. (rather obviously) The M457ER (Master) comes from my Xbox Live Gamertag (same as the full name), while SP00K (zeros) is my pen name for authoring some original fan fiction for the Halo: Combat Evolved video game series. It started with Halo, and has advanced my writing to the novel level. Should see one published hopefully by next year.
