#1Very, very well. The early control is divine, the boardwipes hit well before the commander comes out, Heartless Summoning makes all the creature answers easier to play and flash in, and Jin-Gitaxias copies your extra turns. It is as good of a traditional control deck as you could ask for.
The MVP is definitely Null Rod. Why waste countermagic stopping one Sol Ring when you can counter all of them? Let the foolish fast-mana acolytes overextend early with their cheap rocks, just like how an aggro deck overextends with creatures into a boardwipe. So if there's one card you want to get for yourself to fight in 4 and above, it's Null Rod.
