Would a spell resolve after using the ability of Oriss?

It is quite a simple situation. Your opponent casts a spell and in response you activate the Grandeur ability of Oriss, Samite Guardian, which makes a target player unable to cast spells for the turn. Does the spell in the stack from the oponent resolve after the ability is active?

Oriss, Samite Guardian's Grandeur ability is not retroactive. Any spells that were cast before it was activated go through, and any instant or flash spells that are cast in the time between activating and resolving also go through. The ability starts applying only once it fully resolves.
