Will Mageta the Lion's ability destroy my Mageta the Lion

If my opponent controls a Mageta the Lion and so do I. If he activates his ability will my mageta be destroyed aswell?

Yes.

When cards refer to themselves by name, it means "this specific permanent". In this case, "your opponent's Mageta" will be the only one to survive.
