when you copy a sorcery or instant and get to choose a new target for the copies do you have to pay the copied cards mana cost?

Let's say I have Pyromancer's Goggles and I tap it for a red mana then cast a red instant using that mana. I get to copy the instant and Choose a new target. But do I have to pay for the copy also? I don't think so but I feel like I should ask

When you copy a spell, the copy is created on the stack. It isn't cast, so you don't pay any costs for it.
