What is Coat of Arms' ruling on creatures with the same 2 type?

Asked by sirtrojan 11 years ago

If i happen to have 4 creatures on the field lets say all Human Wizard. Will Coat of Arms give them +3/+3 each only or +6/+6...+3/+3 for one type and +3/+3 for its other?

Coat of Arms doesn't have any extra effect if your creatures share more types. It just cares about whether they share it or not. If you have two creatures with Changeling on the field (like Avian Changeling ), they won't get +1000/+1000 or whatever the number of existent creature types is. They will just get +1/+1 each.

It says if they share at least one, so any more doesn't do anything.

Absinthman I actually use Cairn Wanderer who also ha changeling. But creatures with changeling are awesome because they would get +1/+1 for w.e other creatures are on the battle field so its still pretty good

Questions like this can usually be answered by just reading the Gatherer rulings:

10/1/2009: Sharing multiple creature types doesn't give an additional bonus. Coat of Arms counts creatures, not creature types.
