What happens when you take fatal damage from a creature that you've put Vampiric Link on?

So if you enchant your opponents creature with Vampiric Link , making you gain back all the damage they do, do you still die and lose if the creature were to deal fatal damage to you? Or would the life gain happen simultaneously with the damage making your life total literally not change?

Vampiric Link has a triggered ability (easily identifiable by the use of "when", "whenever", or "at"). Triggered abilities go on the stack and wait to resolve.

Losing the game due to having 0 or less life is a state-based action (SBA). SBAs are checked and performed each time before a player receives priority.

All players must pass priority in succession for the top object of the stack to resolve. Therefore; if a creature enchanted by your Vampiric Link deals lethal damage to you, you will lose before you can gain the life to save you.
