Wave of Obliteration?

Asked by Demarge 13 years ago

If my opponent has a Phyrexian Obliterator on the field when I resolve a Wave of Reckoning would my opponent have to sac his permanents or would I have to?

Your Opponent. Obliterator is dealing damage to itself (even if your card caused it).

Yep Wave of Reckoning explicitly states that each creature deals to itself damage equal to its power. So while the wave may have been the root cause, it was phyrexian obliterator who is the actual source of the damage and thus your opponent will sac 5 permanents and most likely cry. :)
