Two Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver

Asked by Apoptosis 11 years ago

I use Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver to exile several creatures and then that Ashiok leaves play (for whatever reason).

If I put a 2nd Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver into play, can I use it's -X ability to put creatures into play that were exiled by the first?

Similar scenario: I get Ashiok's loyalty to 10 and use it's ultimate. Then cast a 2nd Ashiok, can the 2nd use it's -X to target cards exiled from the first (presumably the answer would be the same between the two scenarios).

If the rulings are similar to nightviel specter then no, the new Ashiok, is an entirely separate card and therefore is not linked to the new Ashiok. I'm sure in a moment someone will have a more definite answer. Good luck

Nightveil Specter's last ability applies to cards exiled with that specific Nightveil Specter, not any other creature named Nightveil Specter. You should keep cards exiled by different Nightveil Specters separate.

"They each have their own pile. Since the abilities are linked, each Ashiok can only track objects exiled by its 1st ability to use for its 2nd ability. The 2nd Ashiok has no connection to anything exiled by the 1st Ashiok." I just confirmed this on another website. Sorry for the multiple answers XD

I believe that's what it says on the Gatherer data base
