Transforming cards plus counters

Say you put counters with Travel Preparations on card:Ludevic's Test Subject Flip before he transforms. When he does transform, would he keep the counters?

He will retain the counters as will all other transforming cards. Once the transform they are still considered the same permanent so anything that was applied to them before transforming is still applied to them after. This includes counters, equipment enchantments etc.

Transforming
After a double-faced card transforms, it's still the same card, so any Auras, counters, or other effects stay right where they are (unless the double-faced card's characteristics have changed such that an Aura can no longer legally enchant it).
