Taking down a creature that is attached with Cobbled Wings?

Asked by MrMoi 11 years ago

So my friend played Cobbled Wings and played it on a creature, and I tried taking it down with Plummet , my friend state that it you can't destroy the creature since it really doesn't have flying, but it does due to effects. Is his statement true?

No. If an effect gives flying, then the creature has flying, and it is a legal target for Plummet. The fact that the creature does not naturally have flying is irrelevant.

Your friend is wrong. Because Cobbled Wings gives the equipped creature flying, the creature, well, has flying. Therefore, the creature is a legal target for Plummet .

That was a well played plummet. When equipments, enchantments, spells, or abilities grant a creature an ability, then it has that ability even if "until end of turn"
