In a tag team duel, such as a 2vs2, would you be allowed to attack your partner? my friend did it against his partner, and we're not sure if that's allowed or not. Also can you attach artifacts to your partner's creatures like Sword of Body and Mind ?

BTW: Me and my friends play so like play number 1 goes and then one of the other team goes, and then partner from number 1 goes etc.

It would, if there was space on the card!
The official ruling which defines the Equip keyword is:
502.33a Equip is an activated ability of artifact Equipment cards. The phrase "Equip [cost]" means "[cost]: Move this Equipment onto target creature you control. Play this ability only any time you could play a sorcery."Emphasis added!

OK, you play in an interesting way! I would suggest that if you and your ally share life totals you can't attack each other - for the same reasons you can't attack 'yourself' in single player. But if you have different life totals then you're just... in an alliance, and can attack each other if it helps you!
There's no official ruling, but that's what I'd do (and what makes the most sense to me!).

Generally you are not allowed to attack your partner, no. Assuming you are 'sharing' turns, that is, taking your turns at the same time as each other, you can't be both the defending and attacking player.
You cannot equip equipment to your ally's creatures, either, because Equip says "...attach to target creature you control". Since you don't control their creatures, you can't attach equipment to them.
