So about that Killing Wave...

There's something I've never really thought of... So if I play Killing wave does it go in a big circle starting at me? And if so do I kill my creatures in a specific order or do I pick and choose? And then after that is it the opponent's turn and the same goes for them? Or do we both pick and choose what creatures to get rid of at the same time? And in what order do abilities activate if any?
How I always thought it worked was like this:I pick and choose creatures to kill. Once I finish then all abilities that could activate from that do activate. Next my opponent chooses, and they get to tailor their choices based on what I killed and didn't kill, and any abilities that would activate would. Then it's done.
Just grabbed this ruling for Killing Wave off of gatherer.
"5/1/2012 First, the active player chooses whether to pay X life for each creature he or she controls. Then each other player in turn order chooses for his or her creatures. Then each player pays life and sacrifices creatures at the same time. Players will know the decisions of players who chose before them."
I believe that if any abilities are triggered as a result of this card being played then the active player chooses the order that his abilities go on the stack first.
So it would go, play Killing Wave , choose what to do with your creatures, then your opponent chooses what to do with theirs, then you both pay life and sacrifice creatures at the same time, then you put your triggered abilities on the stack in any order you choose, then your opponent puts their triggered abilities on the stack in any order they choose. Your opponents abilities will resolve first.

Thank you very kindly for this! That makes much more sense. Seems more complicated.. But makes more sense. Haha

I always forget to card tag... Killing Wave . Also, I apologize for the double questions. My browser got slowed down and posted half of my question (the first one) then the second half (this one) at two different times.
