Slivers with Athreos, God of Passage

Asked by sikwab 11 years ago

Would it be legal if I have [Athreos, God of Passage], [Sanguine Blood], [Bubbling Cauldron] and some slivers out then I sacrifice a sliver using [Bubbling Cauldron] to gain 4 life then it would trigger [Sanguine Blood] for 4 damage then on to [Athreos, God of Passage] for the opponent to choose if he/she looses 3 life or if the sliver goes back to my hand? Thanks.

Use double brackets to link cards.

Sure, that's legal. They don't have to be slivers of course, they can be any creatures.

What would make you think it's not "legal"?

All 3 of those things happen, but not in that order.

the last ability to get put onto the stack will be [atheros, god of passage]'s, so that will resolve first.

Next, the bubbling cauldron will resolve to gain you 4 life

That will trigger Sanguine Bond , which resolve and make your opponent lose 4 life.
