Self-Damage possible?

Asked by asheerliac 8 years ago

Say I take control of someone with Mindslaver, on their turn, am I able to declare the controlled player's creatures against their owner? In any instance, can I attack myself with my own creatures?

The question you're asking is technically very different from the question you mean to ask.

A creature can never attack its controller. A player can never be both an attacking and a defending player.

However, if a creature is controlled by a player other than its owner, it may certainly attack its owner. Although the owner of a permanent is, in most cases, also its controller, controller and owner are different things and have different game meanings.
