Sacrificing count as dying?

If you must sacrifice a creature does it count as dying? Example- Phytotitan on the battlefield under my control then play Life's Legacy .
Phytotitan would return to the battlefield correct?

"to die" is a template expression used in MTG that means "to be put into a player's graveyard from the battlefield". So yes, you are correct.
