question about Drop of Honey

If I have Drop of Honey in play and my friend has Inkwell Leviathan (assuming there are no other creatures with a lower power) does the leviathan die, or does the shroud ability protect it?

It will die. An effect in Magic only targets if it explicitly uses the word "target" in its text (ex: Doom Blade ). Drop of Honey does not target anything, even when you choose a creature among those tied for lowest power. A choice is made when an effect resolves, targets are targeted when the effect goes on the stack.

Shroud protects the Leviathan from being targeted. Since Drop of Honey 's first ability doesn't use the word "target", if the Leviathan ends up being the creature with the least power on the battlefield, it will be destroyed by Drop of Honey.
