P/T Swap After Unblockable

So I am messing around with a high toughness deck with the ability to switch their power and toughness. Can I use Goblin Tunneler to target a creature, say Mirri, Cat Warrior and then after that use Mannichi, the Fevered Dream's effect to switch Mirri's P/T?

Sense the creature needs to be attacking to assign damage the boar becomes a 7/1 and you would assign one.
But you could pump the boar's toughness so when it switches as he attacks it's higher.

Nevermind you Have to assign the defense as the damage so they don't complement eachother

@TitanofYAW unfortunately that interaction isn't as favorable...when the boar blocks, it deals 7, but when it attacks, its attack switches with its toughness, so it assigns 1 damage :(

Yes, you can do that. Since mirri is a legal target when tunneler's ability resolves, it will be unblockable for the rest of that turn, regardless of future modifications to its power and toughness.
