Planeswalker damage redirection
Asked by PimpDaddyHect 10 years ago
Lets say i have a Liliana at 5 loyalty, and i'm at 3 life and my opponent cast lightning bolt to finish me off. Can i redirect my damage to my planeswalker? if so, can i only do it when the damage would be lethal? and also, could i do it when one of their creatures attacks me, or only with burn/direct damage spells?

Lightning Bolt
No. You can never redirect damage to your own planeswalker.
The planeswalker redirection rule allows you to redirect noncombat damage you would deal to an opponent to a planeswalker that player controls instead. You can't apply this rule to damage you would deal to yourself or to damage that another player would deal to you.
