Phyrexian Obliterator Sac Effect

Alright, so I've been toying around with using the card Phyrexian Obliterator, but I was wondering when the sac effect takes affect. When I attack with this beast of a monster, and get blocked, when does the sacing happen? I'm just a tiny bit confused.

The ability doesn't trigger until damage is dealt. The ability will trigger and resolve in the combat damage step after damage is dealt.
